Ohio University - Graduate Studies - Psychology Admission Information Degrees Offered • Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology • Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Psychology • Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organization Psychology Certificate Programs • Not available Average Time for Completion of Degree • 6 years (5 years coursework) Size of Department • 39 faculty and 75 students (10 students per year accepted to Experimental and 10 to clinical) Admission Requirements • Minimum TOEFL 550 or IELTS 6.5 for admission • GRE, no set minimum • Prefer students have completed at least 27 quarter hours of psychology at the undergraduate level, including one course in statistics and one in experimental research design • Overall undergraduate grade-point average of at least 3.0 (B) and an average of at least 3.3 (B+) in psychology. These minimum GPAs are higher for clinical applicants. Applicants who have completed some graduate work should have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 in that work. • Additional application requirements: personal statement describing special interests and professional goals.
