Located in Citrus Heights, California, a suburb of Sacramento, the National Career Education College is an educational facility offering career-oriented programs that help students acquire the necessary skills to enter into a career of their choice at an accelerated rate. Concentrating program training efforts on the healthcare industry, NCE is focused on meeting industry needs. The medical field is growing rapidly, with hundreds of thousands of new positions being created every year. Without enough trained professionals to fill these positions, the industry is struggling. Graduates from NCE are prepared to accept the challenges of the workplace head on immediately upon completing their training. The National Career Education College is full of options to have you trained in with a career-based program in as little as six months in one of several growing industries, especially in the allied healthcare industry. You can train as a Pharmacy Technician, providing customer service and assistance to a licensed pharmacist. You can also choose an education as a Medical Assistant, aiding in taking vital signs and performing minor procedures, or a Medical Biller and Coder that can work in the insurance industry or medical field to keep files straight and processed correctly. As an Optometrist Assistant, you'll learn to use diagnostic equipment and take initial screenings, working with patients directly. The prime reason that students at National Career Education College are so successful is that all programs are complete and comprehensive, based on the career in question and training that will qualify individuals for positions presented by employers.

For them, the master’s degree is a credibility enhancer and a credential that will help them transition into the field more quickly, easily and at a higher level than they otherwise would. John Wilkin John Wilkin had been a Motorola employee for 19 years when he decided to leave corporate America and transition into a college or university work setting. He had a BA and an MBA from the University of Illinois, but he wanted additional training that would enable him to make a smooth career change and be most effective in any new role. Wilkin enrolled in the MSEd program and began taking one class per quarter. Just three courses later, Columbia College Chicago hired him as the budget director for Academic Affairs. "I am responsible for helping the provost, deans and department chairs create and manage their budgets," Wilkin says. "Being in this program was helpful, as Columbia’s search was for someone with both a business degree and a higher education administration degree. They were willing to hire me even just three classes into the program." Wilkin recently matriculated into the program, having decided to complete the degree requirements. After his success as a career changer, he is now becoming an advancement seeker! Elizabeth Andrews After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001, Elizabeth Andrews started working as an administrative assistant with a career management company in downtown Chicago.
